La estación de esquí de Sierra Nevada (Granada) acoge entre el 22 y 23 de marzo el Campeonato de España de esquí alpino y snowboard, organizado conjuntamente por la Federación Española de Deportes de Personas con Discapacidad Física (FEDDF), la Federación Española de Deportes para Ciegos (FEDC) y la Federación Española de Deportes de Personas con Parálisis Cerebral y Daño Cerebral Adquirido (FEDPC).
El campeonato contará con deportistas de las tres federaciones. En las pruebas de esquí de Slalom y Gigante, en la categoría LW10/1, competirán por parte de la FEDDF Iker Lasarte y Pablo Tovar Reguera; en la LW10/2 Nathalie Carpanedo y Pedro González Barja; y en la LW12/2 Audrey Pascual, Camilo Torre, Cristian Castillo, Eloi Vila, Francisco Javier Cabello, Irene Villa y José Luis Vicente Márquez. En la categoría LW2 están Alfredo Spinola, María Martín Granizo y Miguel Gutiérrez Mozo.
Por parte de la FEDDF, para snowboard, la única representante es Irati Idiakez, del club Getariako Keta F.T., que competirá en Banked Slalom y Slalom Gigante.
La competición se desarrollará bajo un estricto protocolo de medidas de seguridad. De hecho, todos los asistentes, deportistas y técnicos, se tienen realizarse en las 48 horas previas al inicio del campeonato un test de antígenos para que tenga la máxima efectividad.
