Los Mundiales de deportes de nieve paralímpicos de Lillehammer (Noruega), que se iban a celebrar en 2021 y fueron aplazados debido a la pandemia de la COVID-19, se disputarán entre el 8 y 23 de enero de 2022, según informó el Comité Paralímpico Internacional.
Ésta será la primera vez en la historia que los Mundiales de esquí alpino, esquí nórdico y snowboard se celebren al mismo tiempo en la misma ciudad, Lillehammer, que ya acogió en 1994 los Juegos Paralímpicos de invierno.
Está previsto que en estos Mundiales participen unos 750 deportistas de treinta países en busca de su billete para los Juegos Paralímpicos de Pekín (China), que se disputarán del 5 al 13 de marzo de 2022.
«Todo el movimiento deportivo noruego, la ciudad de Lillehammer y todos los miembros del Comité Paralímpico Internacional están deseando dar la bienvenida a los increíbles deportistas de todo el mundo al primer Campeonato Mundial de Para-deportes de nieve.
