La primera concentración de pretemporada de los programas de tecnificación y equipo nacional de snowboard y alpino de la Federación Española de Deportes de Personas con Discapacidad Física y de la Federación Española de Deportes de Personas con Parálisis Cerebral y Daño Cerebral Adquirido se desarrolló en el glaciar francés de Les deux Alps, a unos 70 kilómetros al sureste de Grenoble.
En la concentración participaron las deportistas de snowboard Raquel Martínez e Irati Idiakez y los deportistas de alpino Rubén Viso y Cristian Castillo, que estuvieron a las órdenes del coordinador, preparador físico y técnico de alpino Juan Carlos Ramos y de Alex Arenas, entrenador de snowboard.
Durante la concentración se combinaron sesiones de nieve con trabajo físico y técnico en seco. También se aprovechó para hacer diferentes charlas de nutrición, psicología y comunicación.
«Todo ese trabajo se ha enfocado en realizar un primer bloque de técnica de base en la parte de nieve y en realizar y pautar el trabajo a realizar en las otras áreas durante el siguiente mesociclo», declara Juan Carlos Ramos.
En la concentración también se realizaron test físicos y nutricionales a los deportistas para el seguimiento y control de cada uno de ellos.
